Saad Matar — Program Director

Saad Matar is the Program Director of Anahon and a media practitioner with over a decade of experience leading independent, public-interest journalism in Lebanon focused on democracy, transparency, human rights, and accountability. He oversees Anahon’s investigations, advocacy campaigns, podcasts, and digital content, and leads the IContent training program for emerging journalists. He holds a BA in Communication and Media Studies from AZM University.

Khaled W. Al Sabbagh — Contributing Writer, Legal & Policy

Khaled W. Al Sabbagh is a Lebanese lawyer and legal and policy analyst specializing in human rights, transitional justice, and strategic litigation. A registered attorney at law based in Beirut, he holds a License in International Law and a Master’s in Strategic Studies, and has led human-rights advocacy and legal-reform programs with partners including USAID, FHI 360, and Expertise France. Malek Alloush is a multimedia producer, director, and freelance journalist from Tripoli, and a member of the Union of Journalists in Lebanon. With over eight years in media production across the MENA region, he has produced documentaries, podcasts, and advocacy campaigns with partners including USAID, UNDP, the Jesuit Refugee Service, and the Samir Kassir Foundation. He holds a BA in Communication Arts (Radio & TV) from the Lebanese International University and works as a professional photographer and media trainer.

Omar AlAbiad is a registered nurse, emergency medical technician, and healthcare trainer from Tripoli with over a decade of frontline and emergency-response experience. He has served as an EMT and education coordinator with the Lebanese Succor Association, worked in emergency and primary care, and trained medics, nurses, and community responders in life-saving skills. He holds a BA in Healthcare Management from Southern New Hampshire University and a postgraduate diploma in emergency and rescue from the Lebanese Red Cross.
